The site selection and the construction process of the Binchuan Earthquake Signal Transmitting Seismic Station are elaborated in this paper. The observation and research results of the seismic activity, seismogeology and crustal structure in the site area where the site located are summarized,which could provide the basic data for the research and observation of active source detective. The main work of the Transmitting Seismic Station and some preliminary achievements are also introduced, and the outlook for the future work of the Station is put forward.
