In this paper,16 representative counties in northwest Yunnan are selected as the research objects.Based on the field investigation,we summarize the overall building characteristics and characteristics of minority residential buildings in the northwest of Yunnan Province,and analyzes the different earthquake intensitys of the different intensity zones according to the earthquake disaster matrix of the historical earthquake buildings in the northwest of Yunnan Province.And then we build the comprehensive index of the regional earthquake resistance capacity to evaluate the seismic performance of houses in northwest Yunnan,and summarizes the distribution of different seismic capacities and the distribution laws.
