There are a large number of existing masonry houses in the coastal area of Fujian province,which have poor seismic performance due to their material properties,masonry methods and structure composition,and need to be strengthened to improve the seismic performance.Ultra-High Performance Concrete(UHPC)reinforced ash joint on the seismic performance of existing stone masonry structure,two 1:2 scale typical two-story double-span stone masonry structure models were carried out shaking table tests under the two conditions of unreinforced and UHPC reinforced stone masonry joints,and the failure forms,dynamic characteristics,structural responses and their change rules before and after reinforcement were analyzed.The test results show that the cracks of the stone wall are all developed in step shape,and the damage near the door and window openings is more serious.UHPC reinforcement of the ash joint can effectively delay the crack development.With the increase of the peak value of the input seismic wave acceleration,the natural frequency of the model decreases gradually.Compared with the unreinforced model,the first-order period of the reinforced model is basically unchanged.When PGA=75 Gal,the maximum inter-layer displacement angle of the reinforced model decreased by 78.40% compared with the unreinforced model,the maximum inter-storey displacement angle of the unreinforced model is 1/162,and the maximum inter-storey displacement angle of the reinforced model is 1/328,while the maximum inter-storey displacement angle of the reinforced model is 1/162,and the maximum inter-storey displacement angle is 1/328.This indicates that the use of UHPC to strengthen the stone wall mortar joint can effectively transfer the horizontal shear force and delay the structural stiffness degradation,improve the seismic performance of stone masonry structure.
