We introduce data processing methods and procedures to explore the base faulting in the Kunming basin of Yunnan,using the GRYSIS software.Based on the reflection data,we obtain a horizontal stack profile and a migration profile respectively.The results show that the structure features of the Kunming basin are faulting in the west and overlapping in the east,not the typical graben and horst style as suggested by the previous investigators.The Xishan-Puduhe fault and the Panlongjiang fault are the major faults controlling the development of the Kunming basin.
