Abstract:: In this paper,we calculate the strong motion site responses by the Nakamura method based on the pre-seismic microtremor and S wave data recorded during Ning'er earthquake on 3 June 2007.The site response spectra of microtremor and S wave are consistent in general for basement rock site or thin-overburden site.However,for thick-overburden site over 35 meters,both spectral ratio curves have obvious differences,which means that the site response spectra calculated by ground micro-tremor is much bigger than that calculated by S wave.
