Because of the further distance of the observation station,poor detection environment and interference in data processing,the signal to noise ratio of some stations' Green functions of the air-gun source receiving network are lower and the error of detection result of wave ratio is large. We first use the second correlation method for simulation testing,and then apply the method to the time delay detection of the Binchuan air-gun signal. Comparison results between the simulation and processing of air-gun signal shows that the time delay estimation based on the second correlation method has better anti-interference and the calculated results of it are more stable than that of the direct delay detection method.
