- Abstract:
- According to the field survey of the MS6.4 earthquake in Yangbi County,Yunnan Province,the intensity distribution and buildings' damage caused by this earthquake are elaborated,and the average hazard index of various building structures in each intensity area is calculated and compared with the China Earthquake Intensity Table.Further,a comparative analysis of the buildings' damage was carried out with the aid of the buildings' damage by the Ludian MS6.5 earthquake and the Jinggu MS6.6 earthquake in Yunnan in 2014.The results show:① The damage to civil-structure houses and frame-structure houses in the disaster area in Yangbi is obvious.The damage to brick-concrete structure houses is relatively light.The brick-wood structure houses is few,so a little earthquake damage has been found; ② In each intensity area,the average hazard indexes of houses are in good accordance with and the intensity,indicating that the seismic intensity evaluation of this earthquake conforms to the national standards and complies with the distribution law of the earthquake intensity in Yunnan; ③ Compared with the average damage index of the houses in the other two earthquake events in Yunnan,it is concluded that the overall damage in this Yangbi MS6.4 earthquake event was relatively light.
