Considering the capacity of emergency shelters and the distribution of the residential settlements in Yangbi County,Yunnan Province and based on UVA images,we do the preprocessing of artificial vectorization,spatial interpolation,earthquake-damage evaluation,and buffer zoning,and get 4 refined factors influencing the division of rescue areas:the capacity of emergency shelters,damage to buildings,convenience of transportation and the population distribution in Yangbi County after the MS6.4 Earthquake.Setting the 4 factors as the weight factor,and using the Weighted Voronoi Diagram method,we divide the rescue areas corresponding to the emergency shelters with ArcGIS.Results show that the number of the homeless people in the rescue areas do not exceed the capacity of the emergency shelters.The emergency shelters in the old district of the County bear higher pressure,and the emergency shelters in the new district bear lower pressure.
