- Abstract:
- Two severe earthquakes occurred at 20:26 and 20:34 on December 26,2006 in Pingtung.They were with 7.0 on the Richter scale.After the earthquake,the Pingtung County started the “12.26 earthquake” disaster response center and dispatched crews and equipment to the Hengchun Fire Station,which was set as the disaster response and dispatch ststion command post.The purpose of this study was to investigate the merits and defects of the operation procedure during this Pingtung earthquake.It is expected that this examination will be the rescue reference in severe disasters for other organizations in the future.In addition,it is hoped that more precise and feasible Standard Rescue Operation Procedures can be established from the results in this study.
