Abstract:: According to the theory of the Seismological Quantitative Integrated Prediction method(SQIP), we improve the data processing of the method tentatively. Then we apply the improved SQIP method to the prediction of the medium-and strong-earthquakes in the eastern part of northwest China. The result turns out that the improved method becomes more practical and more capable for the earthquake prediction. The prediction results fit for the style of gradually proceeding prediction.
