Abstract:: There are a large number of existing stone masonry houses in the coastal areas of Fujian Province.Most of the stone masonry walls in Fujian are built by dry laid stones with coarse blocks.The mortar strength is low and the masonry joint plumpness is poor.The structure is not provided with seismic structural measures,and the integrity and seismic performance are poor.Seismic retrofitting is the focus of construction work.By analyzing the structural characteristics and seismic weak links of existing stone masonry buildings,this paper summarizes the research and application of seismic retrofitting of stone masonry walls,points out the deficiencies in the current research of stone masonry walls,and provides a reference for further research on seismic retrofitting of stone masonry walls.Finally,based on the development of new materials and new technologies,the research prospect of strengthening stone masonry walls with ultra-high performance concrete that matches the material properties of stone is put forward.
